DIRTY DONKEY DJ Doctor Jane is booked to play the Monster Mainfloor at Earthcore Carnival 2006 in Victoria, 24th-26th November. This an amazing 3 day outdoor music festival, attracting thousands of fabulous party people. The line-up as usual is totally stunning with loads of international and local/interstate acts. Doctor Jane flies to Melbourne to play at techno/electro night TECHNOIR at the Mercat Cross in the city tonight! This promises to be a big party in an underground club, with Melbourne DJs including Dee Dee, Ranjit Nijjer and t-boyd. Jane is on at 3.30am and will be playing a tough set of electrotech. Jo will be taking the pics for posterity so check back early next week to see the gallery. Doctor Jane will be playing at Sydney's superclub home on Saturday March 11th when the Infected Mushroom Australian Tour hits Sydney. Infected Mushroom are an Israeli psy-trance act, with a HUGE following worldwide. Their sound blends live electronica with rock riffs and will no doubt sound incredible on home's sound system.

Then on Monday March 13th Doctor Jane & Jo will be flying down to Melbourne where Jane will be playing at Earthcore in the Park, an outdoor music festival at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. This promises to be a massive gig - Doctor Jane will be playing on the MAIN STAGE supporting Infected Mushroom and joined by a host of DJs & live acts. It'll be HUGE!! For all those heading to The Misfits - an Unofficial Alternative Mardi Gras Party, Doctor Jane will be playing the closing set from 4.30am in the electro room. She joins a solid line-up of DJs - Sveta, Mark Murphy, Lanny K & Miss Yetti - all of whom have played at DIRTY DONKEY, so the music will be dirty and underground...

Due to the fact that the Misfits is being held at the Exchange, which has the ability to stay open longer than 6am, the party will keep going.....and so will Doctor Jane! See you on the dancefloor...... :-)

On Sunday night, Doctor Jane will be playing from 9pm-12 at the Kingki Kingdom Recovery at the Imperial, which runs from 4pm til 12. Tix are $15, $20 on the door.

A CAMERA was found at Dirty Donkey on Friday 24th Feb. If it is yours or you know someone who is missing their camera please email us through the contact us page. You will need to provide details of the camera such as make, etc. We would love to reunite it with its owner!

On a similar note, if anyone found a leather pouch at the July 29th Dirty Donkey, the owner would LOVE to get the silver St Christopher back (handed down from deceased Grandmother). There was also an RTA 18+ card which was not the owner's but had been found at the venue. As before, use the contact us page.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who 'braved the storms' and came along to DIRTY DONKEY last Friday 2nd December. We had a fantastic night, a smaller event in terms of numbers when compared with previous parties, but, most importantly we still had a rocking mix of people from different communities who knew how to have a good time. It also meant we got to talk to lots of people and spend lots of time on the dance floor.

It was also great to welcome self-identifying 'Donkey Virgins'. We get excited about new people coming along and its especially good when you look like you're having a fantastic time and tell us you'll be back. Loved catching up with Donkey regulars and supporters and hopefully we manged to get some pix of most of you. Check out the latest Dirty Donkey photo galleries 

In terms of raising funds for The Luncheon Club - you were so generous in spirit that we collected over $200 in direct donations to the Charity Bucket. Unfortunately, the party didn't make a profit - but we will personally match the party-goers donations dollar for dollar so we can contribute over $420 to support The Luncheon Club.

The next DIRTY DONKEY is on Friday 2nd December, the day after World AIDS Day, so we will donate to a local, grass roots, community organisation. The Luncheon Club has been supporting people living with HIV/AIDS for 12 years and providing a lunch every Monday as well as essential food items from The Larder. This is an invaluable service which provides practical support as well as reducing social isolation for HIV + people. We will donate 30% of profits as well as having a collection bucket on the night for direct contributions. Help to make this DIRTY DONKEY a success by coming along to party with us and support a community institution at the same time. DIRTY DONKEY DJ Matt Vaughan has just taken out the U Show Us Yours DJ Comp at the Sly Fox on Saturday 12th November. Matt triumphed over some really great talent and won a swag of prizes including $500 cash. The competition confirms what we already knew... that he's an excellent DJ and we're excited about hearing him play the opening set in the main room at the next DIRTY DONKEY on Friday 2nd December.. Congratulations Matt!!

It's taken a couple of weeks for the dust to settle after the Long Weekend DIRTY DONKEY. Thanks to everyone who came along - once again a fabulous mix of party people, great work from our DJs playing dark dirty and pumping downstairs - you kept the dance floor rocking till dawn. And with an eclectic selection upstairs in the cocktail bar we definitely had musical diversity with the funk for dancing and chatting. Totally loved Rocco's raunchy show - Drag Kings are pretty damn hot!

Exciting news! DJ Doctor Jane (half of BigCatz and DIRTY DONKEY) has been confirmed to play MAIN STAGE at the Earthcore Global Carnival at the end of November. This 3 day music festival takes place on a huge acreage at Goulburn River in Victoria, attracting a massive line-up of international DJs & perfomers and a crowd of around 10,000 people. This will be Doctor Jane's second Earthcore, having played the closing set in the Circus Tent at last year's event. 2005 sees Doctor Jane taking to the Main Stage after headliners Amorphous Androgynous (Future Sound of London). If you've never been to a massive outdoor music festival in the bush, this is definitely worth considering. Brilliant production, 5 stages, markets, food, bars, workshops, conveniences (toilets & hot showers) and a fabulously friendly carnival atmosphere. A huge experience!
